This vibrant motion graphics piece was created for Monasaba, an authentic Yemeni restaurant based in Canada, to celebrate the occasion of Eid Al-Adha. Designed for their social media channels, the animation beautifully captures the spiritual and communal essence of the holiday. It transitions seamlessly from the call to prayer and the traditional exchange of greetings, to the joyful atmosphere of children playing, and finally to the heart of the celebration: a shared table filled with traditional Yemeni dishes.


My Approach

To convey the warmth, heritage, and joy of a traditional Yemeni Eid within a Canadian context, I developed a textured, painterly 2D illustration style. The hand-drawn aesthetic, combined with a warm color palette of earthy browns, rich greens, and festive golds, evokes a strong sense of home and authenticity. The animation relies on smooth, fluid morphing transitions—such as the continuous shift from the mosque silhouettes to the playground, and then down to the dining table. This technique creates an unbroken narrative thread that visually connects the spiritual practices of the holiday directly to the communal joy of sharing a meal.
